Reading Company Technical & Historical Society's Hershey Caboose
We completely restored this caboose starting in 2024 and are nearly finished in August of 2026. This original Reading Caboose was donated to Hershey Park. It served for many years as a first aid station and later as the Lost Kid Caboose. Donated to our Society by Hershey Park, we began a full restoration back in 2024. It is nearly complete in August of 2026. The white lettering on the side of the caboose is the water-based version of "one shot". It covers ok, but not as good as the oil based version. The Chrome Yellow "One Shot" was used on the hand rails and hand grabs. For yellow paint, it has excellent coverage. "One Shot" is our go to lettering paint.
