  • 1 - Quart of KDA3000 DTS Hardener

KD3000 is a hybrid epoxy two component primer designed to be used as a DTS or Direct to Substrate High Build High Build Surfacer, Medium Build Surfacer/High Build Sealer, or silky smooth sealer.

KD3000 is an industry first and undisputedly the best foundation system available. KD3000 has excellent adhesion, corrosion resistance, productive dry times, and ease of sanding.

The KD3000 Series DTS surfacer sealers may be applied to the following surfaces:

  • Existing OEM Finishes
  • Bare Steel
  • Aluminum
  • Fiberglass
  • Galvanized Surfacers
  • Various Plastics (Testing For Adhesion Is Recommended)
  • Body Fillers

These DTS surfacer sealers emit very low amounts of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Hazardous Air Polluting Solvents (HAPS), and contain no isocyanates.

Its tenacious adhesion, hi-build, excellent durability, and water and corrosion resistance and ease of sanding make it a superior choice for the basis of a long lasting custom paint job.

Good product

This primer formulation is fast drying like all the older epoxy primers used to be. When the other primers went to new low VOC formulations they performed differently, often taking hours or days to dry completely (at least out in Colorado where I am). I hope they keep this KD 3000 primer just as it is. It’s the only one I would use now.

HoK is difficult to find in our area but we really like this primer so was great to find a reliable source to mail order! Our order arrived quickly and undamaged thanks to the secure packaging by the TCP shippers, we appreciate the attention to detail and will definitly order from TCP again!
