The most important part of taking up painting with an airbrush is the cleaning and care for it. Taking time to properly clean your airbrush is what will make the biggest difference in how well it performs.
When removing parts, set them aside in order from right to left and refer to the parts diagram when reassembling your airbrush.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Set removed parts aside in order so reassembly is easier and more accurate.
Unscrew the handle and set it aside.
Unscrew the needle chucking nut and set it aside.
Carefully remove the needle and wipe it clean with cleaning solution and a paper towel. Check the tip for any bending, then set it aside.
Unscrew the spring guide and set it aside.
Remove the spring and set it aside.
Carefully remove the needle guide and set it aside.
Remove the color cup from the top of the airbrush.
Unscrew the needle cap and set it aside.
Unscrew the nozzle cap and set it aside.
Unscrew the air cap with the fluid nozzle cone connected.
Clean the fluid nozzle with the airbrush cleaning brushes.
Clean the air cap using a medium-size cleaning brush.
Use the cleaning brushes to clean the fluid reservoir.
Reassemble the airbrush carefully and make sure all components are secure before testing.
Once cleaned and reassembled, do a quick test spray with water to make sure the airbrush is operating properly.
