Great airbrush compressor.

I bought this compressor almost exactly 2 years ago from when I write this.

I use it mostly for painting plastic models, doing paint tests and some light art work. It has preformed flawlessly every time I use it. It is so quit that my wife can watch TV or listen to the radio only about 10 feet away in the next room with the doors open with out turning up, and can easily be talked over in a normal voice only 3 or 4 feet away. As I don't ask it to do more than what it was designed to do, it never gets hot, it is always cool enough that I can hold my hand on the motor or head comfortably, warm but never hot. I definitely do recommend it to anyone that does models , airbrushing craft projects or light art work. It probably would work fine for makeup, light body painting and occasionally spray tanning too.

Nice little compressor for air brushing

I've had a few short (1 or 2 hour) sessions airbrushing with this compressor. It preforms very well for small projects like plastic modeling. It is most likely one of the quietest compressors I have used. I've used it with 5 different air brushes and could maintain 20 to 30 psi with all of them during normal on/off trigger operation. With my Paasche Talon using a 0.6mm nozzle and fan tip (quite high air demand, 0.5+cfm) the compressor would remain above 25psi for about 2 minutes of constant trigger on operation before the pressure would drop, very slowly, below the 25psi level. I have seen comments about the head getting hot but for me, it has never gotten hotter than hot tap water and usually it would not be difficult to hold my hand on the head indefinitely. (If the head gets too hot, you probably bought too small a compressor for your needs.)

This compressor is stated to be 0.8cfm but the pressure that rating is at is not specified.

I would recommend this compressor for smaller, intermittent spray projects like plastic models or small nozzle art/graphics projects where the trigger is released often so the compressor can replenish the tank to some degree.

If your projects require higher volume air (larger nozzles/ higher pressures/ longer trigger on times) I would suggest spending a little more and get the ABD TC-828 , MAS TC-96T or ABD TC-848 compressors.
