Overview

Ribbon Leaf is manufactured for gilding narrow stripes or large expanses with imitation gold, aluminum, copper and variegated leaf. All forms of ribbon leaf are appropriate for indoor use. Imitation gold and copper leaf must be sealed to prevent tarnishing. Ribbon leaf is manufactured by placing individual 6 1/4" squares of leaf overlapped by 1/4" on a continuous roll of paper, which facilitates handling.The leaves are lightly attached to the paper by a thin layer of wax. The overlap lines are faintly visible on the gilded surface and repeat regularly at 6" intervals. The ribbons come with clean and even edges.
