Great Paint, But You Need Some Experience

Absolutely no complaints about the paint. I love the gun metal grey color. Really nice. The Urethane plus Hardener concept works well. Makes things easy. Except if you are a novice like me. I've done wheel previously using rattle cans, but I had never used professional quality paint and a pneumatic spray gun before. Probably not a good idea to use this type of product for someone like me. What screwed me up most was that the gun metal color made it REALLY difficult to see places that didn't have enough coverage. That, plus my inexperience, is why I'm not satisfied. Again, not the paint's fault. From a distance the wheels look good, but not up close. Things to think about: Need to wait about 10 minutes between each coat. If you wait longer than one hour to put on the next coat, you'll have to wait and sand the wheels. That will require you to buy more paint. Once the paint and hardener is mixed, it only has a shelf life of one hour. Don't forget that you can't leave paint in the sprayer longer than 5-10 minutes. All of that means that the four wheels have to be painted in one go. Bottom line. 1) One quart is enough to paint four wheel, both inside and out. But you have to be quick and efficient. 2) You should have a bit of painting experience.
