If you want to paint your car black but rather than basic, plain black, have a slightly purple sparkle when the sun hits it just right, but for the most part, just an overall black car, this paint is for you. If you're looking for a traditional "black cheery" that reminds you of the fruit, this isn't it. It doesn't look anything at all on the car like their sample they show on their website. I didn't really want a black car. I wanted a deep red/purple car and that's not what I got with this paint. I wondered if spraying over black primer caused it to be so dark (basically just black with a tint of redish/purple hue to it, but only in direct sun) but I just sprayed over a small rear grill section with just scuffed up, old blue paint and it looks exactly the same. Pretty much black.
It seems to be good quality but if your truly looking for a paint that reminds you of the fruit, called black cheery, you'll have to plan on mixing something in with this to lighten it up, otherwise you'll just end up with what most people would just call a black car. I'm pretty bummed. Just not what I expected based on the online sample. Looks nothing like that on the car. Doesn't even look close to that in direct sunlight for that matter. Within a foot away in directly sunlight, you can see what it should be. Stunningly beuitiful! Short of that, it's just a black car. Someone who knows what they're doing, could lighten this by like I dunno how many shades it would take so you could see that deep…
