Product applied as advertised! Very nice finish! Coverage was fair - required two HEAVY coats, dried quickly, cleane dup easily, and is a good solid hard finish for this boat interior. Unfortunately, the color I wanted was not available for purchase unless I bought 25 gallons. TCP did a spectacular job of packaging and shipping my order to me and was a delight to work with. However, the Zolatone and Sherwin Williams Managers I worked with trying to secure the original color I needed left quite a bit to be desired. I'd recommend if you are going to use Zolatone, you call TCP directly, find what colors they have in stock and purchase it directly. Don't waste a month trying to work with Zolatone and Sherwin Williams like I did. They are useless.

Notes: only apply if the painted surface is 70F or hotter

You can use a 2k primer (match primer color with Zolatone color per their instructions)

Zolatone has a TON of water in it, so it has to be reasonably warm to dry.

you can also use a urethane clear coat over the Zolotone once the Zolatone has completely dried.(dry time depends on temp and humidity. I waited 12 hours before applying clear)

I recommend a pressure pot system, as the texture won't come out with a normal gun.

I managed to get a Harbor freight 2mm siphon nozzle gun to work by drilling the nozzle out.

2.2mm drilled nozzle for the 1st coat.

2.8mm drilled nozzle to just "FU*C it" spray texture technique.

A small nozzle wont allow the colors to splatter correctly.

turned out well, even with a ghetto rigged gun.

last pic is the Zolatone with a THICK layer of urethane clear on it.

without the clear, there would be NO way to clean off oil/grease ex ex.

Full disclosure I am a complete novice as it comes when it comes to painting, and had never painted anything before with with an HVPS sprayer. Project was an inside of a 18' aluminum boat. TCP was helpful in selecting primer (self-etching). Followed Zolatone instructions carefully and put together a pressure pot system based on that. Was able to modify a Harbor Freight $60 unit to 2mm nozzle following Youtube. Follow mixing instructions carefully do not over-mix. Paint went on as-advertised, doing 2-different coat settings. Looks amazing I'd say consistency is between thick paint and truck bedliner. Also, probably due to my novice sprayer set up but paint goes fast says 150sf mine was likely a bit less. It's still curing but seems to be hard as a rock and the different color splatter pattern has everyone impressed. Cleans up well w/ water if you get to it quickly but the spray cleaner didn't do much. One note I found was that it soaked through the 3M blue masking tape I used quickly so some other type of tape should be used.
