This professional sanding tool comes complete with both 1" and 2" hook & loop backing plates pads with 1/4" mandrels, 1" & 2" soft interface foam pads, and 50 high-performance sandpaper discs, 5 packs of both 1" & 2" discs in 60, 80, 120, 220, and 320-grit, the most common grits used for bowl sanding.
- Bowl sanders are the most effective and efficient tool used by woodworkers for coarse sanding and fine finish sanding convex and concave curved surfaces of wooden bowls or platters mounted onto wood-turning lathes. When sanding, let the sander tool do the work, as light pressure and constant sander movement will produce the best results. The sander has a sturdy 11" long hardwood handle to keep your hands free of harms way while in use.
- Our premium bowl sander has an adjustable angle sanding head assembly that allows you to adjust to the angle that best fits your grip, project size, and its curves. The head is designed with two bearings to ensure that the mandrel spins freely with the rotation of your project on the lathe, which dramatically reduces the friction to prolong the life of your sandpaper discs and allows you to remove the unsightly radial sanding lines, leaving a clean and smooth wood surface.
- The mandrel pads have a 1" thick layer of firm foam and are designed to give enough flexibilty for sanding small or large convex and concave curves. Use the soft interface pads to provide a surface protection cushion for delicate sanding.
