I used some "over mixed" material at Hotdog Kustoms to base coat a ceiling fan I was practicing on. Hotdog Kustoms uses this product as a base coat when metal flake isn't used. I wasn't sure I had enough material to get the coverage I needed - motor, brackets, one side of blades and incidentals. I applied this as a simple tack-and-build application and BAM I was done! The coverage is insane, I've experienced dry spray both times used but, dry spray may not be the correct term. The material appears to have a very coarse pigment , this and my inexperience with this product could be my issue. This rough surface texture was knocked down using a red scotchbrite and project continued. You'll use less material then with a traditional silver base coat for complete coverage. And the flashy result of the coarse pigment makes your end result pop! I'm now a convert to Custom Shop brilliant silver... try it and you may find it's a far superior silver base then what you're used to using? Better results, faster coverage while using less material!!
