A flexible polyester glazing putty designed for spot filling and skim coating over repair areas on flexible bumpers and plastic parts. Its flowable viscosity is ideal for filling minor imperfections such as sand scratches, nicks, dings and gouges. Poly-Flex™ may also be used to skim coat over repair areas or large surface areas that have the original paint still intact. Blue cream hardener included.

Poly-Flex performs just like EVERCOAT's Metal Glaze #416. It cures to a sandable state in approximately 20 minutes without clogging the sandpaper. Adhesion is outstanding on most plastics. Poly-Flex provides an ultra fine featheredge that resists swelling when top coated. Poly-Flex is also recommended for use on rigid plastics, fiberglass, SMC and metal surfaces. Plus, it contains ZNX-7* for adhesion to bare steel, galvanized steel and aluminum. NOTE: When repairing thermo plastics such as; TPO (TEO) and PP, it is best to retain as much of the OEM finish as possible. Thermo plastic surfaces need to be oxidized by a flame treatment process prior to the application of Poly-Flex.

USES: For use as a finish coat over flexible body repairs to fill minor defects, deep sand scratches and pinholes prior to applying primer surfacer to improve the efficiency of the primer coat.

APPROVED SUBSTRATES: Steel, Galvanized and other zinc coated steel, and most rigid, semi-rigid and flexible plastics.

PREPARATION: Clean surface. Remove all dirt, oil grease and wax. Use an 80180 grit disc to remove or scuff paint. Surface must be completely dry before application.

MIXING: Place desired amount of putty on a clean, non-fibrous mixing board. Add a ribbon of cream hardener from edge to edge across the center of dispensed putty. Puddles larger than 4” in diameter will require additional hardener. Mix thoroughly until uniform color is achieved. Approximate setting time is 5-6 minutes @ 75 to 80F (27C).

APPLICATION: Spread a thin layer of mixed materials over surface using firm pressure to ensure best adhesion. Apply additional layers building area slightly higher than the surface to allow for sanding. Do not apply over fresh or uncured coatings.

FINISH: Sandable in approximately 20 minutes. Sand hardened putty with 180-220 grit sandpaper followed by 320 grit if desired.
