Having not done any spraying for a couple decades, I was pleasantly surprised how well this basecoat came out. No runs, sags or drips, and great coverage. I painted the trunk lid off a parts car as a practice run to get my technique down before painting the car, and honestly I did a quickie prep job to it. Yet the basecoat went on smooth and came out perfect.
The complete kit makes it easy to get everything you need and all designed to work well with each other. I went with the slow reducer because it's summer and I knew my non-cooled shop would be in the 80s and 90s when I paint. It worked great.
Clear coat is harder to see that you have the right size droplets when setting up the gun, so mine was coming out a little heavy at first. But that's why I did a practice run on the parts car. I even did a little metal flake, and after the clear coat it looked like it was suspended 3 inches deep in the surface.
And again, I haven't sprayed anything for a long time, so both my neighbor and me were very impressed how well the practice run came out. I'd like to think it was my natural talent, but I have to assume the right blend of good products had a lot to do with it.
I will definitely buy from TCP Clobal again and recommend their products to others.
